Description

So, instead of doing anything remotely important today, I decided to draw and color these two knuckleheads. They’re a part of a story I have been developing in my head for about a year now. It takes place in the future, when Earth’s people have taken to space and conquered numerous other planets. Being a calculating bunch, humans only conquered planets that had more primitive life on them. One of these planets is Aquuis, where my story is based.

On the left is Carmine. She’s a member of a royal human family on Aquuis. Each planet that humans have conquered is a part of the Federation of Earths, and is ruled over by a family that is a part of the Federation Council. Members of this council [and their families] are distinguished by the jeweled belt around their waist. Carmine is the daughter of Aquuis’s King(King Leo)’s sister, Almirina. She is a rambunctious teen that loves nothing more than to frequently escape her royal duties, with the help of Satari.

Satari is on the right. She is a part of the race Drausis, that once roamed free on Aquuis. Since the conquering of their planet, humans saw fit to enslave the indigenous intelligent lifeforms, using the gold arm bands as a mark of their enslavement.

Satari is one of the eighty slaves that serve Almirina. Most don’t mind it; the princess Almirina is a kind master. It is only when King Leo comes to check on his sister, and in the process kill her most trusted servant (and Satari’s father) Mahary, that the trouble really begins…
